“Today is the day of salvation …” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

I.  Be Wise!

From a biblical perspective, one of the ways we are known to be wise is to win souls to God.  "He who wins souls is wise" (Prov. 11:30).  Are you wise -- in God's eyes?

“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”  (Dan. 12:3)

II.  Be a Life Guard!

"... whoever brings a sinner back from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."  (James 5:20)

Save someone's soul!  Then you'll long to save many someones souls!

The church is to be a lifeboat!  (Bonnke)

III.  Be Beautiful!    All the days of your life.  Inwardly thru Christ like heart and compassion.  And also spiritually.

“How then will they (the lost) call on Him in whom they have not believed?  And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard?  And how are they to hear without someone preaching? ... How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News!"  (Romans 10:14-16)

IV.  Be Compelled -- under God's heart with love for the lost!  … and Be Eager!

"I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.  So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome."  (Romans 1:14-15)

The apostle Paul felt a sense of obligation knowing the lost are going to hell without Christ.  He said "...  Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!" (1 Cor. 9:16)

Paul was unsatisfied internally to not share the Good News.  He said, "And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, ... and those who have not heard shall understand."  (Romans 16:20-21)

V.  Be Unashamed!

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes"  (Romans 1:16)

Have you ever been so excited about something or someone that you couldn't or wouldn't contain talking about it or them, not caring what people thought.  Be like that for God.

VI.  Be a Proclaimer!

“Since we have the same spirit of faith, ... we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, ...” (2 Cor. 4:13-14)

Believe!  But don't just believe.  Believe AND speak what you believe.  Speak the Gospel.

VII.  Be a Goer!

“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.  ...” (Mark 16:15)

“And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.  ...”  (Mark 16:20)

You can go across the world, or you can go across town, across the street, or across the room.  Go.  God will go with you and work with you.

"... go rather to the lost sheep of Israel ..." (Matthew 10:6).

Go to the lost.  They need you.

VIII.  Be a Grower!

Grow the church!  Grow the Kingdom of Heaven!  Grow the family of God!

"Who then is Apollos?  What is Paul?  Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each.  I planted, Apollos, but God gave the growth." (1 Cor. 3:5-6)

IX.  Be an Ambassador and Reconciler!

" in Christ God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.  Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us.  We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."  (2 Cor. 5:19-20)

X.  Be an Imitator of Christ Jesus!

One of the greatest things we can be is an imitator!  That is, if the one we are imitating is worthy of imitation.  Don't imitate the world, but imitate the Lord!

An imitator of Christ should do what Christ did --

"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10)

"Go and learn what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.  For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:13)

XI.  Be unafraid!

"So have no fear of them ... What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops."

XII.  Be merciful!  and Be a hero!

"And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire;" (Jude 22-23)
